lecture: Autonomous vehicles - Present or the future

Event_large

A short presentation about the state of the autonomous vehicle industry today, and how we won't be allowed to drive cars in a decade or two.

From drones to cars. From Tesla to Teslas. From taxis to Uber. My lecture is a short story about how modern technology is drastically changing the transportation industry and our lives. Robots are already part of our present and we don't notice them, but they are here to stay, at least as a chip in our car, or our taxi. We'll be talking about the technology that made it all possible, and about the people that stand behind the technology: Elon Musk, George Hotz (aka geohot), Ray Kurzweil and others, that played important roles in the autonomous vehicles industry. We'll talk about the safety issues with autonomous cars, and we will talk about the implications this will have on our economy.
