In this paper, I will (solo) talk and give an introduction to security research and techniques regarding the cyber-attacks on car and vehicle systems. I will go in depth with various topic including exploiting through CAN, ECUs and also speak about vircar.

Vir(tual)Car is an open-source car engine written in pure C that displays how a real car operates and instruct ECU a specific operations through SocketCAN. It is currently available on my GitHub account located under https://github.com/dn5/vircar.

The talk will be presented with slides and real-time instructions on specific commands. The vircar will also be included in talk to show how an exploitation can happen on a vehicle and car system.
